A little chit chat about me setting up a website. And my small TV watching habit. I have no idea if this blog is going to be boring as hell. But at least it's a record of me somewhere on the net. I hope everyone who visits gets something out of it. lol

Well, I finally did it.

Decided to jump into the web world and create a website.

Whatsonext.com

Basically it's a TV discussion forum. Current TV shows for the most part. It should be a fun way to meet some people around the net.

This should be fun...I think.......lol

The skinning of Whatsonext.com is nearly complete. A friend helped out with that. So, most of those site errors are gone.

The skin is uploaded. We've just been tweaking with the format and making it flow with a TV theme. Originally the top part of the site (header) was more of an alternative alien type theme. But now it's been shifted to a more Black and White TV Theme. The 1 or 2 people i've showed it to, seem to have positive comments about it.

We added the TV to the right and then the name of the site. The "W" in the title for Whatsonext has an antenna theme to it. We're thinking about adding a remote to it. Hopefully that'll give it a more TV theme. Basically, the last couple days have been about refinement of how people look at the site and giving it that TV flavor.

Since we got it set up....

I've been messing with placement of things. Figuring out how things should be organized. No idea what people will like. Well at least it'll be a start.....

lol...finding a name for this freaking site is damn near impossible.

It's taken like a week to find the right name

Everything is taken. I tried like 8 billion combinations.

A friend of mine gave me some good inspiration and we finally found like the last combination left on the internet. lol
So we finally settled on Whatsonext

Put in a deals section for television at Whatsonext. DVDs, merchandise, and any TV related electronics.

Updated the emoticons. That usually bumps up the fun factor of a site. Finding the cool emoticons to use on a site.

Everything is much more user friendly now.. Made some more subtle tweaks and added some basic content threads.

Completed a whole site redesign. Changed up all the colors. I never knew how much work this was.

Added a lot more forums. Changed the logo along with a number of graphics to match the much more contemporary color scheme.

After a month of work, this site is really starting to pay off in terms of function and style
